Hello and welcome to Telegraph Sport’s coverage of tonight’s London derby as Tottenham Hotspur host Fulham.
Spurs look to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season and return to the top of the standings with a win tonight.
The North Londoners have won six of their first eight games, drawing the other two, and find themselves just a point behind Manchester City and Arsenal with tonight’s game in hand.
Fulham, meanwhile, are currently 13th in the table with three wins and three losses from their opening eight league games.
Their last match before the break saw goals from Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Willian and a Wes Foderingham own goal earn a 3-1 win against Sheffield United.
The Cottagers have no fresh injuries from the international break, but Issa Diop is now sidelined along with Adama Traore, Kenny Tete and Tosin Adarabioyo.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has hinted opportunities for his fringe players could be on the horizon ahead of a busy week for the club. Spurs are returning from the international break with a quick turnaround before they go to Crystal Palace on Friday.
Yves Bissouma is suspended, which should see Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg earn a first Premier League start this season. Postecoglou has also urged fit-again Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil and Brennan Johnson to be ready if called upon.
“We’ve got a Monday night game and then we back it up with a Friday night game, so we’ll probably need a good deal of the squad to do those two games,” the Spurs boss said.
