In a statement, British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident was believed to have happened at about 22:00 BST on Friday at Bruce Grove, Tottenham, north London.

In the footage, the man approaches and follows the woman who asks another person, who cannot be seen, to help her.

No-one intervenes and she says the man has "jumped across the tracks to come and chat to me", telling him to "stay away from me".

He continues to follow her and she says "I don't want to chat to you, I don't know you," before the man responds, "I'll follow you... if you act up, I'll follow you".

The man then asks for her phone number as she tries to leave the station and asks if she is filming him, threatening to "take her phone".

A spokesperson for BTP said: "No-one should have to put up with this sort of behaviour on the rail network and we take all reports of a sexual harassment very seriously."
