Sir David Attenborough has been appearing on Britons’ television screens for decades with some of his greatest triumphs including Natural World, the Planet Earth franchise and The Blue Planet.

He is back this weekend as he presents Planet Earth III on BBC One. The naturalist said of the new series: "The natural world is not always there, simply because we have become such a dominant species in terms of numbers.

"We've now got to realise that we've got to live together and not on the terms that we choose." The show looks at how animals are adapting to manmade changes.

The 97-year-old made history as the only person to have won a BAFTA Award in black and white, colour, high-definition, 3D and 4K resolution.

He has also collected a plethora of accolades over the years including honorary degrees and three Emmy Awards. Sir David has also more recently been vocal about his support of environmental issues including advocating for a reduction in meat consumption.
